Whatsapp Pay UPI Payment services Customer Care Support – Facebook owned messaging platform “Whatsapp” is setting up a 24X7 customer support team for their upcoming payment services in India through Unified Payment Interface (UPI). WhatsApp, which has over 200 million users in India, will provide support through e-mails as well as a toll-free number. These services are yet to be operationalized. The support will be available in English as well as three Indian languages — Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati.

Through 24X7 customer support, payment users can contact for any payment related issues. Whatsapp has already updated their term stating that
WhatsApp will not provide refunds or facilitate chargebacks as once a user submits a payment, it is final. WhatsApp is not liable for unauthorised transactions. We assume no responsibility for the underlying transaction of funds, or the actions or identity of any transfer recipient or sender.
Users can connect with WhatsApp for queries related to the payments offering, they would have to reach out to their banks for any dispute resolution
Currently whatsapp payment services using UPI is under beta testing and it is believe that around 10 lacs people are using it. India is already a largest base for the Facebook-owned company that has over 1.5 billion users globally.

WhatsApp payment service will give a tough competition to eCommerce wallets companies like PhonePe, PayTm, Mobikwik etc.
