SSC 2015 Cutoff Discussion – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared the results of Tier I prelims of exam conducted on various dates and different shifts. This year as expected the cutoff was at higher side with 102.25 marks for Unreserved.
We had expected the higher cutoff in Tier I but not 102 marks. There are many reason for higher cutoff, If my views considered. Like,
- SSC conducted exam on various dates at different shifts, this is the major reason for paradigm shift, indeed the exam on various dates gives time to other student who are at later phase for focused preparation as the pattern of exam leaked to them.
- SSC doesn’t declare results of Tier one against each shift of exam conducted. There are chances that none of the candidates qualify from many shifts due to tougher question where as maximum candidates are qualified from the same phase or shift of exam where comparatively easy question were asked.
- We have heard from many of the candidate that the exam was tough where as the others on different dates said opposite.

Conducting exam on various dates is not justified. This is the competitive exam and a single marks make a difference. I may be wrong but the statistics shows the same.
I request qualified/non qualified candidates to share their marks and date of exam. This will definitely be true.
