Steps to Update Re-KYC in Canara Bank online –  Public Sector Canara Bank has introduced the Re-KYC process online. Any of the customers of the bank can update their KYC with the bank without visiting the branch. The KYC updation process is simple and can be updated within a minute. Canara Bank is stating that if Re-KYC is due, it can be done through SMS and Email.

Steps to Update KYC in Canara Bank

Through SMS

  1. Type REKYC<space>Customer ID and send to 56161.
  2. Example if your customer ID is 224744444 SMS format will be like REKYC 224744444 and send to 56161 from your “Registered Mobile Number”.

Through Mail

  1. Type REKYC<space>Customer ID as SUBJECT and send to
  2. rekyc@canarabank.com from your Registered Mail ID with the bank.

Note :  The above services is applicable only to suc customer which are having their latest KYC with the bank updated and no changes are required.

Steps for Re-KYC Updation through Branch

  • Visit any of the Canara Bank branch preferably the Home Branch and fill out a re-KYC form with personal information.
  • The customer needs to self-attest copies of acceptable identity and residential proof that will be submitted along with the re-KYC form.
  • Submission of documents and KYC form can be done physically by visiting the bank branch or by scanning the documents and uploading the same on the Net banking portal.
  •  Once the documents and form are submitted, the bank will complete the re-KYC process.
  • In case of joint account holders, the re-KYC declaration form is required to be submitted for each individual account holder.
