Late penalty of Rs 200 per day as inducted by finance ministry under latest Finance Act, 2012 from 01-07-2013 is challenged in high court. Kerala high court has given the interim relief to payers by two month after putting stay on the penalty u/s 234E.
Petition of NARATH MAPILA LP SCHOOL against UNION OF INDIA was accepted by Honorable Kerala High Court. and issued an interim order dated 18.12.2013 and granted a stay of proceedings for a period of two months in writ petition (CIVIL 31498 of 2013) .
Under petition the constitutional validity of the new section u/s 234E was challenged.
