  1. Hi,
Thanks for the info shared. One question. My PPF account with SBI and it has 10 digit a dash and one more character. What should be the account number to register for NEFT. Like 1234567890-1

    • Generally the account number in SBI PPF doesn’t have any extra character…Probably, it may be old opened account. You have to confirm it from SBI or try to add the same with SBI net banking, if you have had account with SBI.

  4. This means I can transfer funds to PPF account even if I do not have a Savings Bank account in that particular bank or branch? Like say I open my PPF account in Axis Bank but I have my Savings account in Citibank, can I simply transfer funds using NEFT? Thanks!

  5. Hi Raj,

    Thanks for the information. 🙂

There is a correction for Canara Bank. You cannot transfer funds in PPF A/c with Canara Bank using NEFT. There PPF A/c numbers are alpha-numeric; it has been confirmed from there head office. Yes, they have a link on there website for online transfer of funds in PPF; however I tried multiple times & it was not working.
